About Zac Headings

Zac Headings is a student at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA, majoring in Communications and Writing Studies, with minors in Journalism and Digital Communications. Before his studies at EMU, he graduated Hesston College in Kansas with an Associate of Arts degree with a focus in music. His interest in film critiquing was kickstarted by his favorite films, Star Wars.

The Writing Studies program at EMU has allowed Zac to grow his skills into a professional competency. He heavily focuses on writing film reviews, allowing him to couple two of his favorite things: writing and movies. During his first year of writing reviews, he learned how to write professionally about different aspects of film: writing, directing, acting, cinematography, scoring, and the overall mood and feeling of the film. This website contains the full spectrum of Zac’s reviews: from his very first review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to his most recent analysis of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Zac hopes to become a film columnist or a journalist at a large scale print or web publication.
